What does it mean to be Muslim and queer in a minority context? This project will work around this question and discover some of the features that make up religiosity of queer individuals in Denmark. The project is motivated by the observation that a large part of research on Muslims and queer Muslims seem to rely on the approach that religious affiliation/identification is a static category. I want to explore how queer Muslims experience oscillations in their belief as an outcome mainly of their conception of, manifestation of, and potentially distance to their experienced queerness.
